Our Purpose
is
to preserve and promote local, regional, and sometimes national history
through exhibits, projects, presentations, and various other methods of
conveying ideas. Our board of directors, museum curator, docents, and committees
are all volunteers. We are funded through membership dues, fund raising
activities, the sale of TBHS publications, and donations from local area
businesses and the many visitors to our museum.
The Tularosa Basin
Historical Society
is
located in south central New Mexico in, of course, the Tularosa Basin.
Most of our members live in Alamogordo, Tularosa, La Luz, Cloudcroft, Holloman
Air Force Base, and other neighboring villages and towns. We also have
members scattered across other parts of the United States of America.
Admission is FREE!
