Tour of Historical Alamogordo Homes
Members of the Tularosa
Basin Historical Society picked ten homes in Alamogordo that represent
the architectural splendor of the late 1800s and early 1900s. So take your
time and enjoy the tour. Send us your comments, we'd like to know what
you think.
For a walking tour of these
homes, sponsored by IGA, pick up your brochure-map and information
from The Tularosa Basin Historical Society
Museum.
This home stands at 1223
New York Avenue.

Stories told have
this home built in 1904 by a gentleman planning on bringing his wife out
west, but she would not live to see that day. It was sold to Mr. and Mrs.
Mitchell around the time of the great depression. The house was then sold
to the son-in-law and daughter of Oliver Lee, Robert Stevens and Alma Lee
Stevens.
