Tour of Historical Alamogordo Homes
Members of the Tularosa
Basin Historical Society picked ten homes in Alamogordo that represent
the architectural splendor of the late 1800s and early 1900s. So take your
time and enjoy the tour. Send us your comments, we'd like to know what
you think.
For a walking tour of these
homes, sponsored by IGA, pick up your brochure-map and information
from The Tularosa Basin Historical Society
Museum.
This home stands at 1303
Ohio Street.

The date of construction
is recorded as 1914 however, some estimates place construction as early
as 1900-1905. Portions may have been constructed as early as 1896. This
home gained recognition because of the blocks of white sand used in the
construction. The upper balcony was added at a later date.
