Tour of Historical Alamogordo Homes
Members of the Tularosa Basin Historical Society picked ten homes in Alamogordo that represent the architectural splendor of the late 1800s and early 1900s. So take your time and enjoy the tour. Send us your comments, we’d like to know what you think.
For a walking tour of these homes, sponsored by IGA, pick up your brochure-map and information from The Tularosa Basin Historical Society Museum.
This home stands at 1123 Michigan Avenue.
|The Community Club first used this home as a club house and hotel in the early 1900’s. At the time, Col. J.F. Harvey was the president of the club. It later became the home of Dr. E.D. McKinley. Originally built along dirt roads, sidewalks were added around 1940. It is currently being used as an apartment building.|
